Need a small part made or modified? I'm an experienced home-shop machinist who enjoys occasionally helping out people who need a bit of machining done and would prefer to avoid the expense and lead times of a full-on commercial machine shop. Whether you need a replacement part made from scratch, a shaft shortened, a bushing turned, a hole bored, threads cut, or an existing part modified, I'd be happy to discuss your project. I've made or modified parts for cars, motorcycles, boats, machine tools, lasers, original inventions, and all sorts of oddball applications.
If your part is small and made from common aluminum or mild steel, I may have a usable piece of stock on hand, otherwise you'll need to provide the material.
Many simple jobs can be completed in about an hour or less, and if my schedule permits, I may be able to do it while you wait, and you're welcome to observe the machining process if you'd like. More involved projects are typically completed within a few days.
$39 per hour. Feel free to call, text, or email with a description of your project. Photos and drawings are always helpful.
