I got this about 10 years ago and used it maybe 10 times. It would unclog our 4" main most of the time, but the main blockage was usually about 85' in, so I would need to rent a bigger cleaner. Eventually we got the pipe relined.
I thought I could use it for preventative maintenance using a sharpened blade, but it never worked well for this. (People will tell you that you don't actually get your drains clean using this technology, which seems true.)
It worked great on our 2" drain the single time I used it, but this almost never clogs and usually opens with a pressure hose.
Anyway, over time the cable got a bit stretched, and will tangle after about 50'. It would still work well for a smaller drain and/or shorter distances, or you could buy a new cable. (Just make sure it is the right direction of spiral. I would probably get a shorter length too. It looks like you can get a 50' section for about $130.)
I can leave this out. It's pretty heavy, but the handle comes off, so you could probably fit it into a car trunk.
