We're looking for an experienced, reliable handyman or general contractor to help complete three home improvement projects at our house. Ideally, we'd like to find one person who can handle all three projects, work independently, and deliver quality craftsmanship.
The projects will be completed in the following order:
Open up portions of the basement and bathroom walls to access an existing plumbing leak.
Remove and replace a damaged toilet drain pipe and reconnect it to the existing plumbing stack.
Repair any damaged drywall and wall finishes.
Patch, texture, and paint affected areas to match existing finishes.
Clean up and remove construction debris.
Project 2 – Small Roof Repair
Remove shingles and damaged roof sheathing in a localized area.
Replace the damaged sheathing.
Install appropriate underlayment, flashing as needed, and new asphalt shingles to match the existing roof as closely as possible.
Ensure the repaired area is properly weatherproofed.
Project 3 – Small Covered Deck with Stairs
Construct a small exterior deck (approximately 50 square feet) outside our kitchen.
Install stairs and appropriate railings as needed.
Build a roof covering over the deck.
Complete framing, decking, roofing, and finish work.
What We're Looking For:
Experience with residential remodeling, carpentry, drywall, roofing, and general construction.
Ability to perform the requested plumbing work.
Someone dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of completing projects from start to finish.
Must have their own transportation, we have the tools.
Good communication and ability to provide realistic project timelines.
References or photos of previous work are preferred.
We're open to hiring an individual contractor or a small crew. Our preference is to work with the same person or team across all three projects.
