Position Summary:
As a Crossbore Technician, you will assist in operating advanced CCTV camera systems and related field equipment to detect and prevent underground utility crossbores. This work is critical to maintaining public safety and protecting essential infrastructure.
You will work under the supervision of experienced field personnel and report directly to the Field Operations Manager. This role offers hands-on experience, technical skill development, and opportunities for career growth in a safety-focused, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Detect cross-bored wastewater lines
- Collect field data using ESRI GPS software during inspections
- Operate camera equipment to inspect and scope sewer lines
- Establish safe work zones using traffic cones, signage, and other safety equipment
- Mark utility locations using paint at job sites
Work Environment:
- Work is performed outdoors in various conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity
- Projects may take place along busy roads, highways, and residential areas
- Terrain may include uneven ground, embankments, and wet conditions
- Strict adherence to safety protocols is required at all times
Qualifications & Skills:
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Willingness to work with sewer and wastewater systems
- Ability to walk 2–5+ miles daily on varied terrain
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly throughout the day
- Comfortable using technology such as smartphones, tablets, and computers
