This crib can hold a mattress approximately 26" x 51". The crib's footprint is approximately 29" wide by 54" long. It is made out of pressed wood with a plastic coating and is relatively lightweight. The overall crib is in good to very good shape.

As a crib, the two long sides are rectangles. As the child ages, one side can be removed and another piece inserted that allows the child limited access through a small gap while otherwise continuing the 'cage'-like aspect so the child is less likely to fall out. You can see the odd piece in the first picture.

When we stored this, we lost some of the assembly hardware. The crib was made by Million Dollar Baby Co out of Pico Rivera, CA (manufacturer's label in photo). We wrote to try to replace the hardware but have not had a response. A trip to Home Depot or any other hardware shop will suffice - you only need a few generic long bolts and nuts, nothing specialized like Ikea.
