Cold Hardy Pomegranates! Early Ripening Varieties for the PNW - $45 (Seattle)

Pomegranate will grow well in the Seattle region if planted in a good location but you need an early ripening type to get good fruit here. I have 2 early ripening varieties, each in 1 gallon pots for $45
The Crimson Sky Pomegranate is one of the earliest ripening, high quality, sweet pomegranates trialed at the by Dr. Gregory Levin, the well know pomegranate expert credited with bringing many cold hardy varieties to the United States. The fruits are bright red with excellent flavor. Hardy to 10F or lower. Plant in full sun preferably against a south or west facing wall sheltered from strong winds. Water to establish, and every few weeks during fruit production. Otherwise pomegranates are drought tolerant.

Pollination: Self-fertile.
Time to productivity: Usually 2 years from planting.
Ripening time: Late September to October
Size: Grows to 5-8′ tall
The Haku-Botan Pomegranate is a Japanese variety with extremely ornamental double white peony-like flowers. It is a early ripening variety with medium to large sized white-colored fruit. Hardy to 10F or lower. Plant in full sun preferably against a south or west facing wall sheltered from strong winds. Water to establish, and every few weeks during fruit production. Otherwise pomegranates are drought tolerant.
