Automotive Technician/Mechanic
Job Responsibilities
*Diagnose and repair to specifications - brake and hydraulic, exhaust,
primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and
alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
*All technicians are required to perform oil changes and flat repairs.
*Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to
non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers on an
as-required basis.
*Continuously learn new technical information in formal training sessions
in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.
*Keep store management aware of repair problems as they occur.
*Maintain an organized neat and safe bay.
*Possess and maintain a clean driver's license and driving record.
Qualifications
*At least 1-2 years of strong automotive diagnosis, problem-solving, and
repair experience. (training possible for pre-qualified candidates)
*A tech school degree or certification is a plus but not required.
*Candidate needs to possess the ability to work honestly and efficiently
in a team environment.
*Availability to work Monday-Saturday on a 4/10 rotating schedule that
changes every three weeks.
*Must be 18 years or older
*A driver's license is required.
* Must have own tools
Compensation and Benefits
*Flag Rate pay $30-45+ per hour based on qualifications
*Medical, Dental, Vision, and AD&D available after 60 days
*Vacation and Sick pay
*Rotating 4/10 schedule with 5 day breaks every three weeks
