An antique stacking "barrister" (lawyer's) bookcase, most likely early 1900s (c. 1900-1920). It has four stacked sections with pull-out-and-up glass doors, a solid oak top with a beaded molding and scrolled ends, and a shaped base. The grain is quartersawn oak. The side bands with the zigzag pattern are the metal connectors that hold the sections together.
