Excellent condition overall. My kids and I built this up as a fun project 12 years ago. Theoretically, they were going to grow bigger and get to ride this bike. They ended up never riding it as both blew right past this size and now have gravel bikes. So this thing has been hanging as art this whole time. Someone should enjoy it. It is pretty much ready to ride...just replace the tires and add your own pedals. The Dura Ace 7700 group is in beautiful condition. No chips or dents on the frame. It comes with a matching Colnago jersey (euro size 3...around a small or medium).
Build details:
Frame: Colnago Master X Light Art Decor. Not sure the color code because this one is yellow and blue. As far as I know, this is the original paint and not a respray. Size 56 = 55 cm top tube C-C, 56 cm seat tube C-T, 14 cm head tube
Fork: Matching Precisa with threaded steer tube
Headset: Dura Ace 7400
Stem: Deda Murex 11 cm
Handlebar: 3T Forma 42 cm C-C
Seatpost: American Classic...some insertion scratches visible.
Saddle: Fizik Aliante blue metallic
Bar tape: Fizik blue metallic
Shifters: 7700
Brakes: 7700
Crankset: 7700 170 mm. 53/39. Please note these are ULTEGRA 6500 rings that were new for the build. Doesn't have the polish of 7700 rings, but works just as well. I can another new set of 6500 rings for $50 if you want spares.
Bottom bracket: Ultegra 6500 (less prone to contamination than 7700)
Front derailleur: 7700 braze on
Rear derailleur: 7700
Cassette: SRAM 12-26 unknown mileage. I'll throw in an Ultegra 12-25 I have lying around that looks low mileage.
Wheels: Mavic MR601 hubs. 28 hole front and rear. Front is using a deeper Mavic CXP30 rim with Revolution spokes. Rear is using CXP33 rim with double-butted spokes. Original Mavic skewers included. Very light usage. I can knock $300 off the price of the bike if you don't want the wheels.
Pedals pictured here are NOT included. The 7700 SPD-R standard is no longer supported by any shoe company, not even Shimano. Don't imagine there's anyone that wants to use them. I've got some Look PP247's in my stash I can throw in for free.
CASH ONLY. Test rides available if I'm holding the money.
Price: Pretty firm as Colnago is still selling this frameset for $2,500 and my price seems competitive with other offerings on CL and eBay. Send offers if you want, but I'll only respond if I accept.
Local and in-person sale only. Public meetup at La Copa Cafe.
