2001 Indian Chief with Centennial 100 pieces for dress up. Bike was in a light fire as you can see from the pictures. The fire was hot enough to melt the plastic windscreen and plastic parts and saddlebags and seat on the bike but not hot enough to warp the sheet metal or damage the aluminum or chrome or pop the tires. I cleaned up alot of the soot off the chrome and it came back this shiny.
The engine is an S&S Super Stock case with S&S Super Stock 7080 cylinders and Super Stock heads. Probably an 80 or 88ci S&S engine because that's what Indian used back in 2001. Wiring looks good but the handlebar controls and other wiring will need to be replaced (see pics). This is a blow-it-apart bike and polish as you remove parts. Prep and paint as parts come off and then reassemble for a complete bike.
Basically this bike appeals to one type of buyer: Someone who has built bikes in the past and knows how to polish chrome and aluminum, and paint metal parts. $2500 for a clean and clear title (not salvage) Indian project bike with those iconic fenders is a deal. Hell, the S&S engine and 5sp transmission alone is worth 2k. No trades unless it's a qun+cash or something really unique. Keywrds: Harley-Davidson ss scout gilroy street big twin
