A renowned Bill Shaw design “Bangarang” is a Pearson 36 sloop, a design heavily influenced by the IOR 1-Ton rule. This pedigree gives her a sleeker fin keel, a skeg-mounted rudder, and a much sharper turn of speed and windward performance. Known for thick hand-laid solid fiberglass hull construction common to the Pearson's 1970s lineage, she features robust craftsmanship and a sea kindly motion. While under sail, her forward-helm cockpit configuration caters to single hand sail trimming & provides protected shelter without sacrificing sightlines. Surprisingly spacious w/ 6+ foot headroom, a dedicated navigation center, foldaway salon table, V-berth, 2 slide out settees, pilot berth & port quarter berth, she comfortably sleeps 6-7 providing plenty of room for gear & friends. Both propane and diesel heaters keep you warm & dry. The sails and canvas are all in very good condition, the Yanmar engine dependable and bottom good.
