Microsurgical Endodontics, a progressive, high-quality, patient-centric dental specialty office in Dunmore, PA, has an immediate need for a dynamic and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments, equipment, and materials are ready for patient care.
• Welcome, prepare, and comfort patients while providing a positive and reassuring experience.
• Assist the endodontist throughout root canal treatments, microsurgical procedures, and other specialty procedures by anticipating clinical needs and providing efficient chairside support.
• Take high-quality dental x-rays, including digital radiographs and CBCT imaging.
• Sterilize, organize, and deliver instruments and maintain proper infection-control and sterilization protocols.
• Accurately document procedures, treatment notes, and patient information in the dental software.
• Communicate professionally with patients and staff, answering questions and providing helpful guidance.
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked treatment rooms and clinical areas.
• Monitor dental supplies and inventory, communicate supply needs, and assist with ordering as needed.
• Follow all OSHA, HIPAA, infection-control, and office safety protocols.
• Work collaboratively with the entire team to maintain an efficient, professional, and patient-centered clinical environment.
REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
• 1+ year of dental assisting experience preferred (new grads welcome).
• X-ray certification/qualifications required.
• Strong communication skills with a positive, high-energy attitude.
• Team player who works well with patients, staff, and referring offices.
• Organized self-starter who can prioritize and manage tasks independently.
• Eager to learn, grow, and take feedback constructively.
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt and apply new skills.
• Ability to stay professional and composed in a fast-paced environment.
