I am selling an early 20th century Red Mesa Navao Blanket. This weaving is very large (72 in X 36 in). While those can be the dimensions for a runner, it appears to be far more interesting. It is a soft blanket weight weave and the design corresponds to the Transitional Period (1890 - 1910). It is also in very good condition for its age, with just some typical wear and a few pulls in the very soft wool. Colors also remain remarkably crisp and vibrant.
To be clear, the softness, heavy weight, and ability to drape, correlate to being a blanket not a rug. These can go for up to $2000 but I am only looking to recover my previous investment and find it a home. I acquired something large recently and simply have no place for this and I hate to see it sit in storage. Offers will be considered but do not bother lowballing.
If you would like to see any close up photos, feel free to drop me a note. Likewise, if you want to confirm my assessment, drop the photos into Google AI with the dimensions and look up pricing for large Transitional Period Red Mesa weavings in overall good condition.
