Job Summary
Absolute Recovery is seeking a Operations Manager to join our management team. This is a hands-on leadership role for an independent thinker who takes ownership of problems and drives solutions without waiting to be directed. This role is the operational backbone of our field team and the point-of-contact agents turn to when issues arise . This position requires someone equally comfortable navigating the technical side of the job (including LPR camera systems and fleet maintenance) and the people side (including personnel management, agent accountability, and team motivation). Absolute Recovery is a growing company, and is looking for a Operations Manager who can manage the field with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Agent Accountability
Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for repossession agents and camera car operators
Hold agents and camera car drivers accountable for reliability, performance, and professional standards
Motivate the team and work with agents to find solutions when performance or maintenance issues arise
Training & Development
Onboard and train new repossession agents and camera car operators on systems and procedures
Provide ongoing coaching on field procedures, safety, and compliance
Develop working knowledge of LPR camera systems and assist with calibration, adjustments, and troubleshooting in the field
Fleet & Equipment Management
Oversee day-to-day fleet health, including scheduling maintenance (i.e., alignments, tire replacements, inspections), and minor repairs
Track vehicle condition and coordinate with vendors to minimize downtime
Ensure all equipment is operational and field-ready
Compliance & Client Issues
Handle field-level compliance matters and agent-related complaints independently
Investigate incidents, document findings, and resolve issues, escalating to senior management where necessary
Ensure recoveries are executed in accordance with applicable laws and client requirements
Operational Support
Partner closely with the existing management team to think through problems together, flag risks early, and take initiative on solutions
Coordinate with the office team on scheduling, account status, and client communication
Identify inefficiencies and proactively recommend process improvements
Qualifications
Required:
3+ years of experience in repossession, towing, logistics, or a related field operation
Prior supervisory or lead experience managing hourly or field-based workers
Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently and make decisions under pressure
Strong people skills - equally comfortable holding someone accountable and helping them succeed
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
High school diploma or GED
Ability to pass a background check
Preferred (but not required):
Hands-on experience with LPR (license plate recognition) technology and camera car systems
Mechanical aptitude and comfort performing minor vehicle repairs or coordinating with shops
Familiarity with repossession management software (e.g., RDN, DRN, Clearplan)
