Warehouse Associates work at Unity Shoppe’s Client Services location to provide support services to Warehouse staff. This position’s primary role is to provide exceptional customer service at all times, to all Unity Shoppe clients by assisting in the efficient processing and distribution of donated goods.
Ultimately, you should be able to support the organization’s distribution of goods by working closely with fellow employees across departments and providing exceptional customer service to our clients.
Key areas of responsibility:
• Greet and provide general support to clients, customers, and volunteers
• Assist clients with selecting donated items according to their needs as designated by office administrative staff
• Follow all organization procedures for properly sorting, reviewing items for quality, , and stocking in the different retail areas/departments
• Assist warehouse staff with sorting, bagging, barcoding, and otherwise processing donated food items and ensuring the organization inventory system is updated
• Ensure all retail areas and working areas are kept clean and organized throughout each day including sweeping, dusting, taking out trash, wiping down surfaces, disinfecting, etc.
• Box, bag, or wrap items for clients/customers as needed and assist with loading items into client/customer vehicles
• Direct the work of volunteers assigned to work with you and communicate with the department lead if there are any issues or concerns with volunteers
• Assist with any activities related to preparation for the holiday season, organization events, etc. as assigned
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by management
