The EPI A240 is a vintage floor-standing loudspeaker system produced by Epicure Products Inc. (EPI).
Specifications & Design
• Design: Forward-firing, double 10-inch 2-way system.
• Dimensions: 35 ½" x 16 ½" x 11 ⅛"
• Weight: 50 lbs each
• Frequency Response: 36 to 20,000 Hz
• Power Handling (RMS): 20 to 100 watts (noted by enthusiasts as a very conservative rating)
• Finish: Walnut vinyl finish
• Tweeter: Features EPI's signature inverted dome tweeter design.
Sound & Performance
• Bass & Volume: The dual 10-inch woofers allow the speakers to reach high decibel levels with minimal distortion and solid, deep bass response.
• Character: According to discussions on AudioKarma, users note that while they can produce a lot of volume and punch, they lean more toward a fun, high-impact vintage sound rather than ultra-transparent audiophile precision.
