We are looking for professional, reliable, and personable Event Servers to join our team. Our Servers are an important part of creating a seamless and memorable guest experience—from setting up the event and serving guests to helping with breakdown and ensuring every detail meets our standards.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Event Server, you will provide professional food and beverage service at a variety of catered events throughout Santa Barbara and surrounding areas.
You will work closely with our Captains and Event Leadership to execute each event according to the client's expectations and Solera & Co.'s service standards.
Our events range from intimate private gatherings and weddings to large-scale celebrations, corporate events, and other special occasions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Review the BEO (Banquet Event Order) and understand event-specific service requirements
Assist with event setup and breakdown
Set up tables with china, glassware, silverware, linens, buffets, coffee stations, and bars
Assist with back-of-house setup and cleanup
Attend pre- and post-event roll calls and follow event-specific instructions
Provide professional and friendly food and beverage service
Follow the Captain/Supervisor's direction regarding order and style of service
Work closely with your service partner throughout setup and service
Maintain Solera & Co. service standards throughout the event
Answer guest and client questions regarding food and beverage service
Monitor guest needs and communicate concerns to the Captain or Supervisor
Maintain clean, organized, and polished service areas
Assist with food and beverage concessions when needed
Assist with loading and unloading catering vans and trucks
Help other members of the Event Services team during setup, service, and breakdown
Occasionally provide support to the Scullery team
Follow all company policies and responsible alcohol service procedures
Maintain a professional and positive attitude throughout every event
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
1–2 years of hospitality or food & beverage experience required
Previous catering or event service experience is a plus
Familiarity with various service styles, including plated, French, buffet, and other catered service
Understanding of high standards for upscale food and beverage service
Excellent customer service skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Professional, polished, and guest-focused
Reliable, punctual, and responsive
Comfortable working independently while also being a strong team player
Flexible availability, including weekdays, weekends, daytime shifts, and event shifts
Comfortable working long shifts in a fast-paced event environment
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Reliable transportation to and from event venues
Access to a phone and email
Ability to use the StaffMate scheduling app to manage availability and accept/decline assignments
Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods
Ability to lift and/or move up to 45 lbs.
Required event uniform and service tools, including black tie, black apron, corkscrew, and pen
Willingness to occasionally travel for events
EVENT LOCATIONS
We are based in Santa Barbara, but our events take place throughout the region. Some travel may be required to:
Santa Barbara • Solvang • Santa Ynez • Ojai • Ventura • Malibu • Occasionally Los Angeles
A California Class C driver's license with a clean DMV record is required. The ability to drive company vans is helpful but not required.

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULING
Part-Time | Event-Based
$25.00/hour + tips
Event schedules vary and regularly include weekends and longer shifts. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible hospitality work while gaining experience at a wide variety of events and venues.
