This is a good farm truck or work truck. It got the shit beat out of it from the hail storm we had in Sanger last fall so the body got beat up. Windshield is cracked all over but I just have driven it for work as a carpenter and didn't mind. Here's the bad:
-Will not pass emissions inspection due to check engine light! It throws both running rich and running lean codes. I have not been able to fix it after replacing O2 sensors and other things. No clue what to try next.
-No A/C. Self explanatory really. Refrigerant leaks out within 24 hours if added. Fan blows but there is obviously a large leak in the system somewhere.
Thankfully the windows roll down just fine and winter is coming.
-Horn doesn't work. It started just blaring non stop and wouldn't quit until I pulled the fuse so that's how it is.
-For some reason the entire time I've owned it when I try to fuel it up it will take about 3/4 of a gallon and then the pump shuts off automatically. Then I put in another 3/4 gallon and the same thing....on and on and on until the tank is finally full. I've tried to see if something is blocking the fill tube but I can't tell. That seems the most likely culprit. Annoying AF but doesn't change anything else with the truck
The good:
-Tires are nearly brand new all terrains. I bought them a year ago and have only put about 3,000 miles on them.
-Replaced starter in December of 2025.
-Heater works fine.
-Nice headache rack and brush guard.
Regular oil changes with full synthetic Mobil1 oil. Burns a little oil between changes so I check it regularly but does not drip. K&N air filter cleaned regularly. Radiator replaced 2023.
5.4L engine. 4 wheel drive works.
She's rough but has seriously been impressively dependable for 8 years now. I would keep it for use as a farm truck but need the cash unfortunately. Treat her nice and I'm sure she will give you a lot more miles.
