I hold a Utah B100 General Building Contractor license and can serve as qualifying agent for another business entity under Utah Code § 58-55-304.
If your company already has the people, equipment, and documented ability to perform the work, I can affiliate as qualifier so your legal entity can apply for its own Utah contractor license. Your principals typically do not sit the qualifier exam when my existing qualifying exams support the application.
What your company gets:
Its own licensed entity, able to bid and pull permits in Utah
No qualifier exam required of your principals in a typical filing
Typical processing: about 60–90 days
Best fit for project-based and shorter-duration work (remodel, concrete, demolition, and similar scopes). Residential and light-commercial new construction considered case by case
What is required:
Documented ability to perform the work, plus equipment and resources
Credit and background review of the qualifier and the company
Payment of application and related fees
Your company carries Utah workers’ compensation, general liability, and any other required coverage
How this is structured:
I will serve as an officer/manager (W-2) OR as a ≥20% owner of your company, exercise the material authority required by Utah Code § 58-55-304, and meet DOPL qualifier requirements.
This is a Board-recognized qualifier affiliation. It is NOT a license rental and does not transfer my personal license to you. Your company holds the business license. I remain the individual licensee and qualifying agent.
