We are looking for a dependable and motivated Entry-Level Facility Maintenance Technician to join our hotel maintenance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to develop skills in building maintenance, repairs, and hotel operations.
The Maintenance Technician will assist with maintaining guest rooms, common areas, mechanical spaces, and hotel facilities while helping ensure the property remains safe, clean, comfortable, and operational for guests and employees.
Responsibilities
-Perform basic maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel.
-Assist with plumbing repairs such as leaking faucets, toilets, drains, and minor fixture replacements.
-Perform basic electrical repairs such as replacing switches, outlets, light fixtures, and bulbs.
-Assist with HVAC troubleshooting and routine maintenance.
-Perform basic carpentry, drywall, painting, and general repairs.
-Inspect guest rooms and common areas for maintenance issues.
-Respond to guest and staff maintenance requests in a professional and timely manner.
-Assist experienced maintenance staff with larger repairs and preventative maintenance.
-Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas in an organized condition.
-Complete maintenance work orders and document completed repairs.
-Follow hotel safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
-Assist with preventative maintenance programs and routine inspections.
-Perform other general facility maintenance duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-Previous maintenance, construction, handyman, or mechanical experience is preferred but not required.
-Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
-Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
-Ability to troubleshoot basic maintenance problems.
-Reliable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team.
-Strong customer service and communication skills.
-Ability to work independently when assigned tasks.
-Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physical maintenance work.
-Hotel or commercial building maintenance experience is a plus.
