We have this AMAZING CONDITION Antique Hammered Brass Covered Coal / Log / or kindling box with Tavern Scenes. This Antique box is in INCREDIBLE condition for its age! The inside appears never used. I believe the box was made in England by "Price". What I have learn is it takes a very skilled craftsman to create this brass piece. The craftsman works on the reverse side of the malleable metal to form a raised design. A metalworking hammering technique called "Chasing" is used to refine the design. This technique takes a very talented patient person as the this thin metal can easily break, crack, or split when creating their design. There are four hammered metal designs on the top, front, and sides of the box. Box hinges work great.

18 " Width x 11 3/4 " Depth x 11 1/2" height.
I hate to get rid of- but we are trying to downsize so to move in the next few years.
