Hey! Bassist here looking to get together a group of folks that want to play some heavier or progressive music with a psychedelic twist. I have pro level gear and the talent that almost makes it worth it...but not quite. I have a car and I know how to show up on time to practice.
Here is my thing, I don't want to play shows. I'm in my mid 30s, I have a good job and I'm not looking to make music my career. I'm not interested in dragging all my gear out to a bar to play for a handful of folks and then drag it all back home at 2am. I'm not saying that I won't play a show but it is not my priority.
My ideal situation would be to find a group of folks that are interested in getting together once a week to write and play some interesting music together. It would be more than just an excuse to drink beer while you hold an instrument. My hope would be that folks would take the ideas that we come up with together back home and work on them on their own. Then when we meet together next time we are able to progress those ideas rather than just jamming on the same riffs over and over again.
