2006 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 Cummins Quad Cab SLT Bighorn For Sale. ---121,xxx miles--- Meyer Snowplow Ready!
5.9L HO Cummins Engine. Automatic Transmission. Floor shift 4x4. 121, xxx miles. It has power windows and locks, a power driver’s seat, a 6-disc changer, power pedals, a power rear sliding window, and a sunroof. The truck starts, runs, and sounds good. The tires are ¾ or better tread depth and are about 2 years old. The truck is stock; it has never been chipped or tuned. The a/c and heat work well. The only non-stock items are an aftermarket rear-end cover and a set of matched gauges. Finally, the frame has some light surface rust (mid-Missouri light, not Illinois light… lol!), but the body is rust-free.
I have owned this truck since February of 2011, and 45,xxx miles. It has a Prior Salvage Missouri title from being wrecked and rebuilt in February 2009 at 29,xxx miles. During the first several years I owned it, I used the truck as a daily driver. Since about 2015 or so, I've driven it 1,000 miles a year, give or take. I had the plow professionally installed in May 2011, and I used it for light commercial work through the 2016/2017 season. Since then, I've used it only on a couple of personal driveways.
---The truck will come with the Meyer Snow Plow brackets and wiring installed. I am keeping the plow itself and the controller... ---
Since I owned the truck, I've changed the engine oil (15w40 Rotella/OE Filter) every 3,000 miles or once a year, depending on how much I have been driving it. I changed the fuel filter (Baldwin) every 10K or once a year, depending on mileage. I serviced the transmission, transfer case, and axles at 50 and 100K. I have only ever used OE or name-brand filters, oil, and grease. At 100K, I replaced the radiator, radiator hoses, water pump, A/C condenser, A/C evaporator, heater core, and heater hoses. We also put in a new lower heater box, blend door components, and actuator motors. We did add sound deadening under the carpet, which makes the truck a little better to drive. Now at 120K, we did a complete front axle overhaul. New pinion seal, new ball joints (all 4, and the uppers are adjustable), new axle shafts with U-joints, new wheel bearings, new drag links, new tie rod ends, new sway bar bushings and links, and finally a rebuilt red-top steering box.
The truck does have some quirks, as every used vehicle does. The front seal drips… as they all do. The power pedals have quit… I am 6’ plus, and they are down in the stock position, so it never bothered me. The door locks are non-op, and the radio volume knob is more of a volume suggestion device. The body has some dings, dents and scratches from use. The worst part of the truck is the paint. From about 25’ out, it is good. However, as you get closer, well, you can see that it was painted at different times, and there is some clear peeling.
I never thought I would sell the truck, but life changes and it needs to go. Carfax shows the truck is worth $21,700 with the salvage title but without the plow stuff. I think the truck is worth $18,500 as it sits. If you lost your plow truck over the summer, this is the perfect truck for you. The title is in my name, in hand, and I own it free and clear. I am located in St. Robert, MO 65584. Cash wire transfer is fine.
I should note the recall is for the passenger airbag, which will be taken care of this week. Also, the 'Not Actual Miles" came from when it was in the salvage pool in 2009, and the people were too lazy to go out and get the mileage off the truck.
More pictures later this week. The truck will be ready for its new home on Friday...
