THE WORK:
I am a single mother looking for another woman to help out around the house in exchange for free rent and utilities. Tasks will likely include: Cleaning, painting, organizing, yard work, more cleaning, gardening, childcare, trips to stores, house-sitting, pet-care, and other random tasks that are mutually agreeable, both on-site and potentially at other nearby properties we manage. Many helpers have found value in the new skills they pick up on the job. The work hours (18 per week) can be flexed so that you can work a little longer some days to have time off on other days of your choosing. Most people choose to work 2-4 hours a day. We have hosted many artists, students, and people with part-time jobs, with great success. It is a win-win situation!!
ABOUT US:
I am a solo mom of a fantastic kid. I do this to free up more quality time to spend together. We are hoping to find someone who likes being around kids and won't be bothered by a cute and enthusiastic little dog. Priority will be given to people with childcare references. For the safety of all household members you must be able to pass a thorough background check conducted by an independent local company and provide at least two character references. We have done this successfully for many years and can provide our own references from past helpers, many of whom are still close family friends!
THE HOUSE:
- Charming and spacious older home
- Situated on a large, private, and peaceful wooded lot in St. Paul
- Shared kitchen
- More photos/video tour will be provided as we advance in the process
- Your space is a large second-floor bedroom with a king bed
- Adjacent full bathroom would primarily be your own, but occasionally used by visitors
THE LOCATION:
- About ten minutes to downtown Minneapolis or downtown St. Paul
- High-demand, beautiful residential neighborhood close to many amenities
- Within walking distance of restaurants, a salon, bakery, grocery store, bar, frisbee golf, and regular golf courses
- Very convenient to I-35W
- Stunning views
