Antique Wool Table Mat/Mug Rug - $35 (Saint Paul)

This 19th century wool table mat, which features a woven geometric pattern characteristic of the era, was the kind of decorative extravagance the Pennsylvania Dutch artists who made them apparently used to explain were “just for nice.” Or, to approximate the accent, “chust fer nice.” So says the blogosphere, anyway.
Being an antique, it does have a few, minor worn spots. But I would say it is in good condition given the vintage.
