We are getting ready to butcher one of our animals for our personal use, but will have one half or two quarters available for outside purchase as a custom butcher.
The hanging weight of the whole animal is expected to be around 1,000 lbs. Price of the carcass (half or quarter) to the purchaser is $4.25 per pound of actual hanging weight. Cut and wrap will be at your expense on top of purchase of the half or quarter.
This animal is farm bred and raised, no hormones, no antibiotics, no vaccinations other than state mandated Bangs. Minimal grain (only used as bribes to go into trailer / chute). Potential purchaser is welcome to inspect the live animal prior to custom butcher. There is the potential to add some extra grain finish if desired - if all parties want to do that.
Commitment requires 1/3 deposit with remainder to be paid the day we have the hanging weight. Purchaser deals direct with butcher to specify cuts and pay for 1/2 kill fee plus cut and wrap. The half or two quarters must be committed before we will send to butcher. Transport to the butcher will be at our expense.
