This is Michigan's State GEMstone. This state gemstone is not to be confused with Petoskey, the state stone of Michigan. These gemstones are also called Michigan Greenstone, or Isle Royale Greenstone, or Lake Superior Greenstone or Chlorastrolite which means green star stone. The prospector has to search through many stones to find two that work for earrings. These two gems have beautiful patterns. "Greenstones" are found on the beaches of Isle Royale in Lake Superior. Collecting "greenstones" on Isle Royale is now prohibited. However they are sometimes found on the Keweenaw Peninsula of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. That's where these are from. Michigan greenstones can have light or dark areas, or a combination. They can have patterns or just be all green. These Michigan Greenstones measure about 14.8 x 11.4 mm. That's about .58 x .45 inch. They weigh 20.25 ctw. These are rough gemstones that have been polished. These gems have naturally formed in the earth and have most likely been found tumbling on the beach. Sometimes natural formation or tumbling can leave fractures so they are protected with hardeners. I have hand set these gemstones into these solid .925 sterling silver earrings that are marked on the back. The earrings you see in the photos are the earrings you will receive. Photos enlarged to show detail. For size please refer to measurements. inventory #11075. Gift Tag included.

Sale price on these Michigan Gemstone Earrings is $275. For a limited time, take 20% off to bring your cost to only $220.00.

Also shown are more fantastic Michigan Gemstones you can find in my case all at great prices. These include Petoskey and Charlevoix Michigan Stones. The tags in the photos show prices in red. - - - Your cost is 20% OFF of these red prices. - - -
