About the Position:
This is a fast-paced, hands-on position that requires someone who enjoys working independently while interacting directly with customers throughout the day.
The ideal candidate is outgoing, personable, organized, and able to maintain an efficient pace without sacrificing safety, accuracy, or customer service.
Attention to detail is extremely important to us. We expect our drivers to take pride in everything they do, from completing paperwork accurately to keeping their trucks spotless inside and out and presenting themselves professionally to every customer.
Job Responsibilities
- Drive a company cargo van on scheduled customer routes throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area.
- Safely collect and transport medical waste containers from customer locations.
- Load and unload containers throughout the workday.
- Build positive relationships with customers through friendly, professional service.
- Maintain an efficient pace while completing assigned routes.
- Keep the company vehicle exceptionally clean and well-maintained.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
- Follow company safety procedures and applicable regulations.
- Represent the company professionally at all times.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Missouri Class E driver's license.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and responsible.
- Must be outgoing and enjoy interacting with customers.
- Must be detail-oriented and organized.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and move containers throughout the workday.
- Must take pride in personal appearance, equipment, and quality of work.
- Previous delivery, courier, or route driving experience preferred.
- Medical waste experience is not required; training will be provided.
