Looking for a bee keeper (St Francis/elk river)

I’m looking for an experienced local beekeeper who would be willing to help me get started with beekeeping by setting up a few hive boxes on my property. My goal isn’t to start a business—it’s to support pollinators, contribute to the health of our local environment, and learn how to responsibly care for honey bees.
Pollinators are essential to our ecosystem. Bees, butterflies, and other pollinating insects play a vital role in helping flowers, trees, gardens, and many of the fruits and vegetables we rely on to thrive. As pollinator populations continue to face challenges from habitat loss, pesticides, disease, and changing environmental conditions, I’d like to do my part by creating a safe, healthy place where honey bees can flourish while also making my property more welcoming to all pollinators.
I have no beekeeping experience, so I’m looking for someone with knowledge and patience who would be willing to help me set things up correctly and offer some guidance as I learn. I’m eager to do things the right way and provide the best possible care for the bees.
I’m also searching for used beekeeping equipment at a very affordable price. If you have extra hive boxes, frames, foundations, protective clothing, a smoker, hive tools, feeders, or any other equipment you’d be willing to sell cheaply, I’d love to hear from you. Even older equipment in decent condition may be exactly what I’m looking for.
If you’re passionate about beekeeping, conservation, or helping someone new enter the hobby, I’d sincerely appreciate your advice and assistance. Every journey starts somewhere, and I’m excited to learn while making a positive contribution to pollinator health and our local ecosystem.
