I purchased this low mileage bike in May 2025 with around 20k miles on it. It has non original paint by the previous owner. I was told it is a bmw car color from the 80s.
It was in decent running order when I purchased it, but had suffered from sitting too much.
During my ownership I have:
Replaced tires with Michelin Road Classic
Replaced front and rear brake pads
Bled both front and rear brake systems
Refurbished carbs - disassembled and vapor blasted and rebuilt with new kits from Bing
Replaced fuel lines, peacocks, and inline filters
Installed Silent Hektik 400 watt alternator and electronic ignition
Installed new starter
Replaced pushrod seals, resealed cylinder base and head gaskets
Installled Ikon adjustable shocks
Rebuilt front forks
Replaced front and rear wheel bearings
Replaced rear rack ( have rack with padded back rest that came with the bike)
Installed quad lock phone mount with wireless charger.
Resealed the tank with Caswell epoxy system. ( This was my first attempt at this and is just good enough to work. The tank is rough, but works and looks ok.)
Starts reliably and runs well. Not pristine but a great rider.
