Elementary Classroom Student Internship (Sagamore)

We are looking for a student intern for our grade 4-6 Montessori classroom. There are only 10 students (mixed ages, 9-12) with a PHENOMENAL seasoned Montessori teacher who's been at our school for 14 years and has been teaching even longer.
The teacher gives very individual lessons to her students all day every day and could really benefit from a second set of hands; someone to answer student questions, help when she is busy, etc. Ideally, the person could come M-F from 8-2:30 or so. This is not a paid position.
Our school is a special place. We are 25 years old and have staff who have been here for 15 or more years. We have an emphasis on the arts and offer Fitness, Yoga, Spanish, Music, Art and Art History every week in addition to the Montessori curriculum. Anyone who works with this teacher will learn a TON about positive classroom management, expert guidance, and of course, a lot about Montessori education!
