I’m looking for a safe, temporary room to stay in while I get established financially. I am currently trying to leave an unsafe living situation and need somewhere secure where I can stay through the end of September, or possibly sooner if I’m able to get on my feet earlier.
I am already working full-time and have a steady income. I can provide proof of employment and income to anyone offering a legitimate housing arrangement. The only issue is timing: my first paycheck will not arrive until the end of September, so I unfortunately cannot pay rent or other housing costs upfront right now.
I’m hoping someone may be willing to help me with a temporary place to stay until that first paycheck arrives. Once I am paid, I will be in a much better position to contribute toward housing and get my own situation established.
I am responsible, respectful, clean, and employed.
In exchange for a temporary place to stay, I can:
Help keep the home clean and organized
Help with errands when I’m not working, if you have a vehicle
Help around the house in reasonable ways
Provide proof of employment and income
Contribute financially once I receive my first paycheck
Be respectful of your home, privacy, and boundaries
I have a valid driver’s license but currently do not have a working vehicle.
Ideally, I would feel safest staying with a female roommate or woman/female household. I am looking for a calm, safe environment and am not looking for anything romantic or otherwise inappropriate.
I have already contacted local domestic-violence resources but unfortunately have been told that since my daughter is at college I do not qualify to get safe help.... I also don’t have family in the area, and my friends are not in a position to provide housing.
I’m not looking for a long-term arrangement or asking someone to support me indefinitely. I primarily need a safe place to land for a short period while I transition out of my current situation and wait for my first paycheck.
