NS Construction LLC dba Next Step Construction LLC is soliciting applications from Section 3 and MBE/WBE Subcontractors under SHRA's Project 2303-KPas, 2402-MAkp and 2515-MAkp - Qualified List of Contractors for PHA Rehabs 2023, 2024 and 2025 for rehab consisting of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and etc. located at 3050 Bell St #6, #14, and #16, Sacramento, CA, 95821. Possible subcontracting trades are Drywall Contractor; C-9, Electrical Contractor; C-10, Flooring & Floor Covering; C-15, Plumbing Contractor; C-36, Warm-Air Heating, Ventilation & AC; C-20 (Note: To be marked on all rehabs)
Bids will be received via email ONLY until 12:00 pm on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at codi@buildnextstep.com
All contractors will be required to verify that they are aware of the existing site conditions.
This contract is subject to Federal labor standards, Section 3 Requirements of the HUD Act of 1968, The Davis-Bacon Act, Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise standards.
This is a Public Works project. Per California State Labor Code Section 1771.1 (a), a contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. Notwithstanding any other requirements (including federal labor requirements), this contract is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR).
