Longview Farms is looking to hire 15 seasonal full-time employees to work on our farm in Saanichton, BC.
Job Description:
Plant and harvest flowers and bulbs, fruits, and vegetables in greenhouse and in fields. Weeding, cutting, pruning and general field and greenhouse maintenance.
Wage:
$18.25 hour
Work hours:
40-55 hours per week
Work must be completed on-site. There is no option to work remotely.
Work site environment:
Fruit and vegetable combination farming, Floriculture Production, outdoors/greenhouse, wet/damp, dusty, hot, noisy, cold/refrigerated, all weather conditions.
Responsibilities/Tasks:
Hand Harvesting vegetables and flowers
Pack fruits and vegetables
Pack flowers
Plant and irrigate crops
Tie and secure plants
Weeding and general maintenance
Work conditions and physical capabilities:
Ability to work independently
Fast-paced environment
Repetitive tasks
Physically demanding
Standing for extended periods
Bending, crouching, kneeling
Walking
Education requirement:
No degree, certificate or diploma needed, experience an asset.
