Sessions 8-day (wind once per week) mantle clock circa 1923. The case originally had black enameled wood and that enamel has been removed showing the lovely wood beneath. The case is about 18 inches wide, 10 1/2 inches high, and 5 1/2 inches deep. The 5 inch dial is made of Iveryoid and has Arabic numerals and sits behind convex glass mounted in a brass bezel. There are a total 8 metallic columns (4 on each side atop a metallic urn/flowered base). It has 4 cast iron feet and 2 side decorations with a brass color. The clock strikes a cathedral gong once on the half hour and the count of the hour on the hour.
The clock is fully functional and keeps time well. It comes with a key.
