German grandfather clock purchased in Germany in 1970. The wooden case is an open well design. The height is about 82 inches, the width 20 ¼ inches, and the depth 13 inches. The dial diameter is 9 inches with Roman numerals.
The movement made by Kieninger is 8-day (wind once per week) and is weight-driven on chains. It has the Westminster chime that starts with 4 notes on the quarter, then 8 on the 2nd quarter, then 12 on the 3rd quarter and 16 on the hour. The strike counting the hour happens on the hour after the 16-note chime.
The movement has been completely disassembled, each component cleaned, worn bushings replaced; reassembled; adjusted; and freshly lubricated for many more years of service. Fully functional and keeps time well!
$750. Cash only. Transportation and setup of clock is negotiable. Please contact me via email (Reply above) or phone/text (5o5 nine 03 zero three fiftysix) for more information. Thanks for looking!
