We are an innovative architectural glass & metal company seeking a full-time Project Estimator/manager to join our team.
The Project Estimator/assistant P.M. role is responsible for creating accurate estimates for all labor and materials required for the completion of commercial glazing projects. Project scopes of work typically include: aluminum and glass storefronts, curtain walls, doors & hardware, glass, mirrors, ACM panels, and railing systems.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Review and interpret architectural drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work to bid
2) Determine all material types required by the construction documents and use our estimating programs along with the purchasing department to generate accurate material quotes
3) Determine all labor and equipment requirements to complete the scope of work
4) Generate formal proposals with our estimating software to send to clients
5) Follow-up with phone calls on your sent proposals to generate sales
REQUIRED SKILLS
* Previous experience reading and interpreting architectural drawings required
* Prior background in construction
* Ability to work in a deadline driven environment
* Great attention to detail and accuracy to produce high-quality work
* Excellent written communication skills required for writing proposals and excellent verbal communication skills for following up with potential customers
Hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and pay is based on experience and skill level. Benefits are offered.
