This salvaged lot of vintage antique furniture hardware features a classic William & Mary style teardrop pendant design, perfect for adding authentic historical charm to a dresser, sideboard, or cabinet restoration project.
📦 What’s Included:
• 16 Teardrop Pendant Pulls
• 17 Matching Round Rosette Backplates
• Please Note: Mounting screws/bolts are NOT included. (Replacements are inexpensive and easily sourced to match your specific furniture wood thickness).
⚙️ Item Specifications & Design Features:
• Material: Solid non-magnetic metal (Genuine Brass) with an authentic, aged dark living patina on the backs.
• Anti-Twist Design: The rosettes feature a square locking peg recess and dual stabilization alignment nubs to prevent the hardware from spinning or scratching your furniture faces.
• Design Style: Traditional Pendant / Teardrop Drop Pull.• Condition: Excellent vintage condition with natural weathering and beautiful character. No bent pieces.
💡 Interesting Facts for Your Project:
• Historical Legacy: This style of single-hole hanging drop pull dates back to late 17th-century European furniture design (popularized during the William & Mary and subsequent Colonial Revival eras).
• The "Magnet Test": Because these are non-magnetic, it proves they are constructed from high-quality solid brass or brass alloy rather than brass-plated cheap iron or steel, meaning they can be polished to a mirror shine or left as-is to preserve their historical patina.
• Restorer's Goldmine: Finding a large, matching set of 16 cohesive vintage pieces is incredibly rare. Buying individual reproductions online typically costs between $10 to $20+ per pull.
