We are NOT looking for someone who can only handle basic handyman tasks. We need someone with real construction knowledge, a broad skill set, the right tools, and the ability to work independently.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
You should be highly experienced in several of the following areas:
Structural & Framing
Floor joist repair and replacement
Roof rafter repair and replacement
Structural framing and general carpentry
Foundation repairs and stabilization
Deck construction and installation
Electrical & Plumbing
Basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs
Lighting installation and replacement
Plumbing repairs and installations
Kitchen and bathroom plumbing
Exterior Construction
Siding installation and repair
Gutter installation and replacement
Window and door installation
Decking and exterior carpentry
Concrete work
General exterior repairs
Bathroom renovations and installations
Flooring and finish carpentry
Drywall and general repairs
New lighting and fixture installation
Mechanical & HVAC
Heating and air conditioning equipment installation
HVAC-related repairs
Ability to coordinate or obtain necessary permits when required
WHAT WE EXPECT
We are looking for someone who:
- Owns and maintains their own professional tools and equipment.
- Has reliable transportation and can travel to different job sites.
- Can work independently, assess problems, and determine the appropriate solutions.
- Communicates intelligently, professionally, and clearly.
- Shows up when scheduled and follows through on commitments.
- Understands construction quality and takes pride in their work.
- Can provide estimates and communicate project requirements.
- Understands when permits, licensed trades, or inspections are required.
Communication is extremely important. We need someone who can clearly explain what needs to be done, identify problems, discuss solutions, and keep us informed throughout a project.
PAYMENT & TAX REQUIREMENTS
All payments are made electronically through Zelle.
We collect a completed W-9 from everyone we work with.
All payments are properly documented and reported as required.
If you are looking to avoid receiving taxable income or are unwilling to provide a W-9, this opportunity is NOT for you.
