Update: These are our final hogs for 2026. Once they're gone, that's it until we raise another batch. Don't miss out.
We're offering premium Red Wattle pork from our small farm in Roaring River, NC. Our hogs are raised on pasture and woodland (silvopasture), where they root, forage, and graze the way pigs are meant to — supplemented with non-GMO feed. No vaccines, no antibiotics, no confinement buildings. Just sunshine, forest, and good genetics.
The Breed Red Wattles are a rare American heritage breed prized for richly marbled, flavorful meat — a world away from commodity pork. They're on the Livestock Conservancy's priority list, and raising them helps preserve the breed for future generations.
Pricing — All-Inclusive, Based on Take-Home Weight
Half hog — $6.50/lb
Whole hog — $6.00/lb
One price, no surprises. Everything is included — slaughter, cut and wrap, and packaging at a local USDA-inspected processor — and your final cost is based on the actual pounds that go in your freezer. The only extra is optional curing/smoking of bacon and hams, if you want it.
Prefer Your Own Butcher? Alternatively, we can haul to any abattoir of your choosing within 20-miles of our farm, or beyond (+$2/mile beyond 20 miles) and pay the live-animal price per pound of take-home weight — $4.50/lb for a half or $4.00/lb for a whole — with processing fees paid directly by you to the processor. This is a great option if you have a favorite local butcher or want custom cutting instructions handled directly with someone you trust.
How It Works
Reserve your half / whole hog with a deposit of $125 / $250.
Choose your option: our all-inclusive package at a local USDA-inspected facility, or haul to your own processor
Tell the butcher exactly how you want it cut — chops, roasts, sausage, ground, bacon, hams
Pick up your wrapped, frozen, freezer-ready pork
Half a hog typically fits in a standard refrigerator freezer (a chest freezer is recommended for a whole hog).
This is your last chance for 2026. Stock your freezer with pork you can feel good about — from animals raised humanely on our farm with full transparency.
