Skippy is a 10-year-old, 15.3 hand ½ draft gelding with great bone, solid feet, and an easy-to-shoe demeanor. He’s well-built, has a good foundation, and thrives with consistency and a job.
Skippy is more of a one-person horse and needs a confident, experienced rider. He enjoys getting out on the trails and is not suited for beginners.
I previously sold him to a veterans program, but unfortunately, it wasn’t the right fit. He has had several incidents of running off with his rider, resulting in falls, despite having months of training. I’ve since brought him back into my care and have been riding him successfully. I want to be transparent about his history so we can find the right match. He can also be difficult to catch in a large, open pasture.
Skippy has a lot to offer the right person who understands his needs and will keep him in consistent work. My priority is finding him a home where he can succeed.
Serious inquiries only. Please message me with questions or if you think Skippy might be a good fit!
Open to trades for the veterans program, or $9000 or best offer.
