Retro Victorian era handcarved Stanhope cross pendant silver chain
A Stanhope is a miniature convex lens either binocular or monocular used to view tiny photographic images.
This Stanthope has an ‘ND de Lourdes’ (Our Lady of Lourdes ) image viewable through the lens / eyepiece.
I believe the chain is silver but am not 100% certain. The pendant ‘bail’ & jump ring appear to be replacements.
