The Serial number for this guitar is M210301227. I have been unable to find a decoder for Merida guitars.
This MeridaExtrema Alcazaba A-15D is a full sized Dreadnaught guitar and for those in the know it is a model highly regarded by players for its excellent cost performance and playability for the entry to intermediate level player. It delivers a warm, rich volume and responsive tone in addition to being well built, with excellent playability for both strumming and fingerpicking. It features a high gloss natural finish, solid Sika Spruce top, with Rosewood back and sides, fret board and bridge with a Mahogony neck.
Although I am not the original owner, it has been kept, when in my possession, in a pet and smoke free home. It is used, but in beautiful pristine condition. There are no bumps, dings, or finish flaws anywhere on the body. Recommended for those looking for a guitar that is a little different from well-known brands, and for those who prioritize playability and sound. Please see pictures.
Dimensions - This is a 40.5 inch, 20 fret, full size Dreadnaught with a scale length of 25.5 inches. Upper Bout - 11.5 inches, Waist – 10.75 inches, Lower Bout – 15.5 inches, Body Depth – 4 5/8 inches and a nut width of 1 11/16th inches.
Currently strung with Elixer – Polyweb – 80/20 Bronze – Light - .011 - .053 – (11025) strings with very little play time. It is a great feeling and sounding guitar with a smooth neck and super low action (2 mm at the 12th fret of the 6th string and 1.5 mm at the 12th fret of the 1st string) with no fret buzz up and down the board. I have oiled the board and dressed the frets so there are very few (if any) sharp edges. In addition, I have replaced the original plastic bridge pins with Cocobolo wood pins and installed a clear pick guard.
Comes with a nicely padded Mbt gig bag, pick holder with a couple of picks and a strap as shown in the photos. Stand not included.
