The Wilton Companies is looking for an experienced Groundsman to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. This position will be responsible for maintaining the landscaping and overall exterior appearance of properties throughout our commercial real estate portfolio.
We are looking for someone with previous landscaping experience who can work independently as well as part of a team, takes pride in their work, and can help keep our properties looking clean and well maintained.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine landscaping and grounds maintenance at commercial properties
- Mow, edge, trim, blow, and maintain turf areas
- Prune and maintain shrubs, bushes, and other landscaping
- Weed and maintain landscape beds
- Assist with planting, mulching, and seasonal landscaping work
- Perform leaf and debris removal as needed
- Identify landscaping issues and areas that need attention
- Safely operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools
- Keep properties clean and presentable while working on-site
- Assist with other exterior property maintenance projects as needed
- Assist with snow removal as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous professional landscaping or grounds maintenance experience preferred
- Experience operating commercial landscaping equipment
- Ability to work independently and manage daily assignments
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
- Dependable and able to maintain a consistent work schedule
- Ability to perform physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred
- No felonies on record
- Experience with commercial properties is a plus
Position Details:
- Full-time position
- Monday – Friday
- Richmond, Virginia area
- Starting pay: $20.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience
