Bay Grade Mare - $2,500 (Rexburg)

She has mostly been a trail/pleasure horse for me, but I also showed her in 4H for my last two years. She neck reins, picks up leads, has a soft mouth, and has really nice ground manners. When I was riding her consistently, I also used her to pack flags at the rodeo, roped off of her, and gave kids lessons on her. She will need refreshers on roping and flag packing as I haven’t done either on her in 5-6 years.
She can be a bit spooky when placed in new areas, but once she adjusts to her new place, she becomes pretty level-headed and quiet. She can get a little hot headed at times, especially during breeding season, so she will need a calm, intermediate or experienced rider. She’s got soft feet, so she will need shoes if going over any rocks, gravel, or hard surfaces.
Right now, I am riding her for one of my classes at BYU-Idaho, so she is currently getting ridden 3hrs a week and will be until she is picked up. I’m currently working on maintaining her gaits(she likes to start moving faster as you trot or lope) and teaching her leg cues. She would be a really good pleasure horse or ranch horse if you just need to get out and move cattle.
Because she is on university property, you will not be able to ride her, but I am more than happy to ride her around for you, send videos, or have you come and watch me ride her.
