You have to be smart enough to know that it just may work for you. I seriously don't think that people who worship an Orange Con Man would have a clue. Do you? First, you have to sign up and I don't think putting an X in place of your name will cut it.
Because an "X" is incredibly easy to forge, the law implements strict fraud-prevention frameworks to make it enforceable:
1. The Requirement of Witnesses
To make an X-mark legally robust, most states require two impartial witnesses to view the act of signing.
• These witnesses must sign the document themselves to attest that they observed you making the mark willingly.
• Generally, the witnesses cannot be anyone who stands to financially benefit from the contract (like a beneficiary in a will).
2. The Role of a Notary Public
When an X-mark is notarized, a Notary Public will verify the signer’s identity using official government ID. The notary will typically print the signer's full name directly next to the mark (e.g., "John Doe, his mark" or "X (mark of John Doe)") to clarify exactly whose signature the "X" represents.
Now, with that being the requirement, do you seriously think that any MAGAts have any friends smart enough to write a valid signature? In other words , you can't validate an X with an X!
