My background is varied, spanning film and television production, hospitality, photography, childcare, household management and pet care. I've also spent the past several years assisting with the administrative and bookkeeping side of my husband's residential architecture practice.
The common thread throughout my work has been being the person behind the scenes who helps keep things running. I'm comfortable working independently, juggling competing priorities, dealing with people, managing details and figuring things out when something needs doing. I enjoy being useful, anticipating what's needed and taking things off someone else's plate.
I have a BS in Corporate Communication and a Graduate Diploma in Film. My experience also includes volunteering for two years in my daughter's preschool, where parent participation included educational classes focused on child development and working effectively with young children.
I'm now looking for my next chapter and am open to a variety of opportunities, including administrative or operations support, personal assistance, household management, hospitality, event support, pet care or a role that draws on a combination of these skills.
I'm also interested in opportunities within senior living or retirement communities, particularly resident services, hospitality, activities or general community support. I enjoy helping people feel comfortable and cared for, and I see a natural connection between this kind of work and my background in hospitality, caregiving, household management and administration.
I'm adaptable, a quick learner and open to learning something new, including opportunities that offer on-the-job training. I'm happy to start in a supporting role and grow from there. I'm open to full-time, part-time or project-based arrangements depending on the opportunity.
I'm not tied to a conventional career path or a single job title. I'm looking for a good fit with someone who values initiative, reliability, discretion and a practical, hands-on approach. I'm also happy to discuss a short, clearly defined trial arrangement so we can both determine whether it's a good fit.
