Security Officer – Truck Gate
Pay: $16–$18 per hour
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Security Officer to work at a truck gate. This position is responsible for controlling access to the property, logging trucks and visitors, and following site security procedures.
Responsibilities
* Check trucks and visitors in and out of the facility.
* Accurately record driver names, trucking companies, truck and trailer numbers, visitor information, and arrival and departure times.
* Verify identification and confirm authorization before allowing entry.
* Direct drivers and visitors to the appropriate locations.
* Communicate with facility personnel regarding arrivals, deliveries, and access requests.
* Monitor the gate area and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, and security incidents.
* Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
* Remain alert and maintain a professional appearance throughout the shift.
Qualifications
* Dependable attendance and punctuality.
* Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills.
* Basic computer or tablet skills for entering truck and visitor information.
* Ability to follow written procedures and interact professionally with drivers, visitors, and employees.
* Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors as needed.
* Previous security or gatehouse experience is preferred.
