The Good
This is the perfect boat for someone who wants a boat that stands out and could be a project overtime but is pretty darn good as is. This is also a rare/ collectable boat that you will not see often. Boat is a classic great lakes cruiser with awesome styling, it’s the perfect blend of a trustworthy low maintenance fiberglass hull with the aesthetics and design of a cool wood cruiser. The Teak trim is in great shape and gives it a very classic look along with the hull having a wood strake looking molded design. Every time we take it to the boat launch we get compliments. During our ownership we have used it as a seasonal cruiser on Lake Washington and a fun project for our construction crew to work on in down time, we just don’t take it out enough for it to make sense and its taking up space in our shop. Our crew did a ton of fiberglass repair and patching on the hull and also sanded down a bad new top coat put on by a previous owner. We also removed the swim step so it was short enough to fit in our Garage but we still have all the bracket and swim platform which is wood and looks great.
Trailer is newer and costs about $8k
Awesome newer Stereo with 4 6” speakers and two subwoofers, and 2 new battery's she is loud.
She also has a bimini top and a cover included.
We also removed the passenger side captain’s chair and installed more of a bench/ love seat with room for a cooler underneath.
The Bad: Hull could use a repaint but its totally fine and is watertight, top coat on the front is still rough and could use sanding. Some wood, and trim on the lower area into the cuddy cabin could use replacing, the engine seems to have some sort of temper where after being run for several hours she needs some time before she is happy to start/run again. We have done a tune up, carb replacement, and replaced the distributer and a bunch of the coolant lines in our ownership but don’t use it enough to spend the time tracking down this last issue. We ran it once on a spare back up plastic tank and she was fine, so I’m pretty sure it just needs a good fuel tank clean out, but I’m not a mechanic so could be something even more simple.
