We're hosting a relaxed but polished outdoor garden-party luncheon and are looking for two friendly, professional people to help us take care of our guests and keep things running smoothly.
This should be a very manageable four-hour event. We're not operating a restaurant and there is no complicated table service. Food will already be prepared, there are no individual orders to take, no cooking, no bartending, no cash handling, and no late-night shift.
We're especially interested in someone with restaurant, banquet, catering, hospitality or event experience who is comfortable around guests and can recognize the little things that need attention without requiring constant direction.
What you'll be doing:
Help with approximately 30 minutes of final setup before guests arrive
Welcome/direct guests and help them locate their assigned seats
Bring several prepared trays of food from the prep area to the event tables
Place prepared salads at each setting
Keep water glasses filled
Keep the self-service coffee, tea and beverage station neat and stocked
Clear used glasses, plates and serving pieces as appropriate
Keep tables and the event area tidy during the luncheon
Help with light clearing and breakdown as the event concludes.
You will NOT be cooking, preparing individual meals, taking orders, bartending, handling money or providing formal multi-course table service.
We're looking for someone who is dependable, well-presented, personable and attentive. You should be comfortable interacting pleasantly with guests but also understand how to provide unobtrusive service during a private event.
Attire: Clean black pants and a clean black or white collared shirt/blouse preferred. Comfortable, clean closed-toe shoes are fine.
Also please note this event will be in a grass garden area there will be some varied terrain.
